It’s pumpkin carving time! The leaves are turning colors and the air is getting colder in most parts of the country. Fall is one of the most colorful times of year and marks last-call for us to get out and enjoy the outdoors before the freeze sets in.  Pumpkin patches, corn mazes, ghosts and more. Here are some of my favorite activities that you can enjoy this fall with a group or by yourself. So, blaze up or just head out with a head for adventure. #daybuzzing is the crunch of leaves beneath your feet.

SPoOky ScArY ... Find a Haunted House!Haunted House

Kids love Halloween but the best times are reserved for the adults! No matter where you live haunted houses and scary mazes are opening up for the season. There’s nothing like stumbling through a haunted house, laughing your ass off while waiting to have the shit scared out of you. The sound of chainsaws and maniacal chuckling are a contagion for having a good time.  Go with your buds and see who cracks. The memories these events can leave you may haunt you for years to come. Check out hauntedworld.com for some of the best spooky adventures in your area. And for all of you who are looking for a more ghostly experience, here is a list of reportedly real haunted houses around the USA.

"It's the Great Pumpkin..." Autumn Colors

Farmer’s markets take place year around in some areas, but for others this a last chance to interact with local growers before the winds of winter begin to blow. There are few things better than getting up early and heading out to see what treasures can be found at your local market. The smells of fall are everywhere along with colorful displays of Corn, pumpkins, squash, apples and my favorite apple butter.

Meet people of all ages and diversity as you work your way through any of these local events.  You are also supporting your local economy and putting dollars in the hands small business owners who are passionate about what they do.  Getting baked before you go is not a requirement, but with munchies galore at every turn it may be one of my favorite ways to go out   #daybuzzing. Check out this Local Foods Directory for a local market in your area.

Get Outta Here, Take a Hike! Walking

Put on those hiking boots, grab a camera and get to a park now! The outdoors is an amazing gift. The best things in life can be the simplest and usually are. Plan a day trip to your nearest state park or just walk around local parks if time is an issue. The smell of cool crisp air and crinkle of fallen leaves beneath your feet can be a centering experience and satisfying connection to nature. Watching our world go through changes reminds us all that everything is constantly moving. Nature is always a great thing, whether you're smoking it or taking in its awe and beauty. Here is a list of State Parks around the country.

Remember, #daybuzzing adventures can happen all year, but Autumn offers some unique possibilities. Grab your friends or go out as a loner-stoner and make the most of this beautiful season. Create the memories you will hold onto for a lifetime.
